In a display of patriotism and community, Fox Mill students and staff honored those who are serving, and those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces during the 4th annual Fox Mill Veterans Day Celebration. The day included a breakfast for students and their honored guests, a performance by the chorus (under the direction of Erin O'Neil and Laura Spierto), and a poem performed by first grade students. Memorably, a Fox Mill fifth grader delivered a poignant address about both the honor and sacrifice that children of military families experience. An additional highlight was the appearance of FCPS Superintendent, Dr. Brabrand, who thanked the veterans and cheered them on as they made their way to the ceremony in front of the school's flag pole.
