Young Scholars at the National Building Museum
This week, many of our Young Scholars went to the National Building Museum in Washington, D.C. to participate in the museum’s City by Design Program. This experience offered both teachers and students an engaging environment. Students became city planners for the day as they designed their own model city. They considered the problems a city can have and offered solutions by planning their own community. They used their imaginations to design and construct model buildings for the city using colorful supplies and recycled materials.
